PM to kick-off construction work at Diamer Bhasha Dam today
Prime Minister Imran Khan to visit Diamer Bhasha dam today to review the progress on the mega project. Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) on Information and Broadcasting and Chairman CPEC Authority Lt Gen (Retd) Asim Saleem Bajwa will accompany the PM. In a tweet, SAPM said that the project will provide a boost to steel, cement and construction industry and 4500 MW of cheap electricity while creating 16,000 jobs. Diamer-Bhasha dam contract is awarded to Power China and Frontier Works Organization (FWO).
