Participants of the 27th National Security Workshop visited Gwadar, where they received briefings on the region’s strategic importance under CPEC, security operations, and development projects at Gwadar Port. Officials highlighted ongoing efforts to maintain peace, protect local initiatives, and support trade and investment. The attendees praised the Pakistan Army’s role in ensuring stability and fostering growth in the Makran Division. Their visit, which included stops at Pakistan Point and a Pakistan Naval Ship, offered firsthand insight into Gwadar’s expanding security and economic significance.
Participants of the 27th National Security Workshop visited Gwadar, where they were briefed on the strategic importance of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), safe operations at Gwadar Port, and the coastal surveillance system.
The General Officer Commanding (GOC) Gwadar provided a detailed overview of the security situation in the region, emphasizing that peace, stability, protection of local development projects, and facilitation of trade and investment are top priorities.
A special briefing at the China Business Center Gwadar highlighted ongoing development projects at Gwadar Port, while participants were also informed about coordinated operations by security forces to curb terrorism, prevent smuggling, and secure coastal areas.
The workshop attendees paid tribute to the Pakistan Army for establishing peace, creating a secure environment, and accelerating development in the Makran Division.
Participants appreciated the region’s positive transformation, growing investment opportunities, and effective security management. Their visit also included stops at Pakistan Point Gwadar and a Pakistan Naval Ship, further underscoring the strategic significance of the area.
