3,000 Pakistanis to receive training, study opportunities in China
China will offer 3,000 training and study opportunities to Pakistani nationals between 2025 and 2029 under the newly signed China-Pakistan Action Plan. Finalized during Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s recent visit to Beijing, the plan prioritizes human capital development through joint research in applied and basic sciences. It also includes the establishment of new laboratories under the Belt and Road Initiative, focusing on disaster prevention, early warning systems, hydropower, climate change, and air pollution control.
ISLAMABAD – China will provide 3,000 training and study opportunities to Pakistani nationals from 2025 to 2029 under a new bilateral cooperation plan. The commitment is part of the China-Pakistan Action Plan (2025–2029), agreed during Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s visit to Beijing last week. The initiative falls under the section on science, technology and human resources, which identifies human capital development as a key area of collaboration. According to the plan brief available with Wealth Pakistan on Monday, Pakistan and China will strengthen joint research programmes in both applied and basic sciences. New laboratories will be established under Belt and Road Initiative, focusing on disaster prevention and mitigation, early warning systems, small hydropower development, climate change, air pollution control.
