CPEC moving forward with enhanced scope and pace: Chairman CPEC Authority

Chairman CPEC authority Gen. (R) Asim Saleem Bajwa has categorically rejected the false impression of a slowdown in CPEC. Chairman informed about the fast-track implementation of CPEC and said that after the successful completion of CPEC phase 1, a great deal of ground work is done to launch the second phase. CPEC second phase is set to promote cooperation in various field including agriculture and technology. It also includes the establishment of Special Economic Zones (SEZs) and Hydel Power projects. The scope of CPEC is actually enhanced as the Main Line-1 (ML-1) is set to be launched soon.
