PM Khan ensures timely completion of CPEC
Prime Minister Imran Khan held a meeting with Chairman CPEC authority Lt. Gen (R) Asim Saleem Bajwa and Federal Ministers to review the progress of CPEC linked projects. PM said CPEC is a reflection of bilateral strategic cooperative partnership with China. The project will boost the socio-economic development of Pakistan. PM reiterated commitment to the timely completion of CPEC at any cost. While appreciating the performance of the CPEC Authority, PM directed the relevant authorities to expedite the execution of CPEC projects.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday called China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) an excellent project for Pakistan’s socioeconomic uplift and said that the gigantic multifaceted initiative would guarantee a bright future for the country.
The prime minister while presiding over a meeting to review the progress on CPEC reiterated that the Corridor was the manifestation of Pakistan-China friendship and the government would complete it at any cost to pass on its benefits to the citizens.
China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Authority Chairman Lt. General (r) Asim Saleem Bajwa, Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Asad Umar, Advisor to the Prime Minister on Commerce and Investment Abdul Razak Dawood, Federal Minister for Energy Umar Ayub Khan and Federal Minister of Economic Affairs Khusro Bakhtiar attended the meeting.
The meeting reviewed progress of projects designed under CPEC.
PM Imran Khan expressed satisfaction over the performance of the CPEC Authority. The prime minister was given detailed briefing on the current status of ongoing projects.
Speaking on the occasion, Imran Khan said that CPEC is an excellent project for our social and economic development.
He vowed that the federal government will complete the CPEC project at any cost, adding that the project was a sign of all-weather friendship between Pakistan and China.
He directed concerned officials to further enhance the performance and capacity of the CPEC Authority for the early completion of the ongoing projects.
