Mushahid Invites Sri Lanka to benefit from CPEC Connectivity

While addressing Chairman, Senate Foreign Affairs Committee, and Pakistan-China Institute, Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed has invited SriLanka to benefit from the CPEC project. In this regard, he called for engaging the private sector of both countries to utilize the highlighted trade potential available in each country. He was addressing the publication ceremony of the ‘Pakistan Sri Lanka Free Trade Agreement’ hosted by the Federation Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) in the capacity of Chief guest.  In his tweet today, he said that Sri Lanka is a good friend & strategic partner of Pakistan and both countries are now an active participant of the China-led Belt & Road Initiative.

The Federation Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) has launched the Publication on ‘Pakistan Sri Lanka Free Trade Agreement ‘ to enhance bi-lateral trade and promoting free trade between the two countries.

The Federation of hosted the publication launching ceremony in Islamabad with Chairman, Senate Foreign Affairs Committee, Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed, as the chief guest.

In his address, he emphasized that private sector of both countries should play their role to utilize the highlighted trade potential available in each country.

He also draws attention towards potential available in Religious Tourism and exchange in Cultural heritage of the both countries.

He also invited Sri Lanka to take the advantage of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) to enhance its outreach to Central Asian states and European countries.
