Iran interested in joining CPEC: Iranian Consul General
In a tweet, Gwadar Pro has quoted Iranian Consul General, Hamid Reza Ghomi saying that Iran is interested in CPEC as the Iranian government has been in contact with both Pakistan’s and Chinese government. Consul General Ghomi met President, Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Sherbaz Bilour, who invited Iranian investors to invest in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
“Iran has a keen interest in CPEC. Our government has been in contact with both Pakistan and China. CPEC is a beneficial project for the region,” said Iranian Consul General in Peshawar Hamid Reza Ghomi.
