Pakistan, China pledge to foil any attempt to sabotage bilateral relations including CPEC
Chinese Counselor of the Department of External Security Affairs Wang Daxue and Chinese Charge d’Affaires Pang Chunxue met with Minister of Interior Rana Sana Ullah Khan in Islamabad to discuss bilateral ties and matters of mutual interest. The meeting also included discussions about ensuring the security of Chinese nationals in Pakistan. They expressed their resolve that happenings in Karachi will not harm Pak-China relations. To maintain security, both parties agreed to make the interaction between the Interior Ministry and the Chinese Embassy more effective. The minister conveyed his sorrow and grief for the deaths of Chinese nationals in the terror attack at Karachi University. China will continue to provide financial and technical aid to Pakistan in its ongoing development projects, according to the Chinese Counselor. The Chinese leadership places a high value on Pakistan-China relations. He stated that they will foil any plots by criminals to sabotage Pak-China relations. He expressed the hope that the inquiry into the terror attack at Karachi University would be completed soon and that the perpetrators would be brought to justice. According to Sana Ullah, all available resources are being used to secure the safety of Chinese nationals in Pakistan.
