China, Pakistan vow to make new contributions to global peace and development
Chinese senior diplomat Wang Yi expressed China’s support for Pakistani Chief of Army Staff Syed Asim Munir during a meeting in Beijing. Wang Yi congratulated Munir and stated that China does not interfere in other countries’ domestic issues, and will support Munir in performing his duties for regional stability. Munir also reaffirmed the strong friendship between China and Pakistan, calling China Pakistan’s “time-tested friend” and “iron brother”. Wang Yi emphasized China’s willingness to work with Pakistan and other developing countries to promote global peace, security and development, and strengthen strategic communication and cooperation.
