Governor KP praises China as an all-weather friend
KP Governor Ghulam Ali expressed strong admiration for China, describing it as a steadfast ally of Pakistan that has consistently supported Pakistan in challenging times. He highlighted the enduring friendship between the two nations and commended the celebrations in Pakistan marking the 74th Independence Day of China. The governor praised the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project and its potential to drive economic development in Pakistan, expressing gratitude to China for its contributions. He also praised the China Window in Peshawar as a hub for Chinese cultural activities and acknowledged the efforts of its administrator, Amjad Aziz Malik, in fostering cultural ties. Various dignitaries attended the event and celebrated the strong friendship between Pakistan and China.
PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Haji Ghulam Ali has said that China has always helped Pakistan in difficult times.
He expressed these views while addressing a colourful event organised by the China Window, a Chinese cultural centre established here, on the occasion of China’s National Day.
“The celebrations held across Pakistan on the occasion of the 74th Independence Day of the People’s Republic of China is a clear proof of the deep-rooted Pakistan-China friendship, according to a statement issued here on Tuesday.
Caretaker provincial minister for information and culture Barrister Mian Feroz Jamal Shah Kakakhel, minister for sports, youth affairs and science and technology Dr Najibullah Marwat, Iranian Consul General Ali Banafsha Khawa, secretary information Abdul Jabbar Shah, managing director Bank of Khyber Mohammad Ali Gulfaraz, director information Mohammad Imran, president of Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry Fawad Ishaq, president of Peshawar Press Club Arshad Aziz Malik, civil and government officials, writers, poets, intellectuals, artists and representatives of minority communities also attended the function.
On this occasion, a cake was also cut in connection with the National Day of China.
Addressing the ceremony, Ghulam Ali said he was happy that the people of Peshawar were also participating in the happiness of their Chinese brothers and sisters.
