CSAIL partners with NUST for internship program at Karot hydropower project
China Three Gorges South Asia Investment Limited (CSAIL), a subsidiary of China Three Gorges Corporation, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Pakistan’s National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) to establish a student internship base at the Karot Hydropower Project. The agreement entails providing annual 4-6 week internships for students in relevant fields, starting next year. Interns will gain exposure to cutting-edge hydropower technology and contribute to collaborative efforts in training technical talent. The Karot hydropower project, with a capacity of 720MW, represents the initial hydropower collaboration between China Three Gorges Corp and Pakistan under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), and it commenced commercial operation in June 2022.

The 720MW Karot hydropower project in Pakistan was the first hydropower tie-up developed by the China Three Gorges Corp under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). It began commercial operation in June 2022.
