Maryam Nawaz Lauds Pakistan-China Friendship at 75th National Day Celebration in Lahore

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif attended a ceremony in Lahore held in connection to mark 75^th National Day of China, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

During the ceremony, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz held a meeting with Consul-General of China Zhao Shiren and extended her heartfelt congratulations to him on behalf of people of Pakistan for celebrating 75^th National Day of China.

On this occasion, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said that people of Punjab also joined her in extending congratulations to the people of China. She said it is honor for her to attend the ceremony to mark 75^th National Day of China.

The Chief Minister said that people of China achieved progress and also extend friendship to global community. Chinese people are living in the hearts of Pakistani people through China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). Maryam Nawaz said that China’s desire for peace, progress and cooperation and well-being of common man is visible. She said that people of Pakistan respect their Chinese brethren.

She said that ties between China and Pakistan are based on mutual trust, respect and vision for future prosperity. She said that China and Pakistan enjoying time-tested relations.

Maryam Nawaz said that Pakistani people feel honor to celebrate achievement of Chinese people which also enhance our courage. She said China stand with Pakistan on all crucial periods.

The Chief Minister said that both countries are moving forward hand-in-hand. She prayed that these relations will be more strengthened in future.

She said that Chinese people achieve prosperity after introducing reforms in economic sector of the country.

Maryam Nawaz said that China played vital role in resolving global issues. She said that during sudden outbreak of Covid-19 virus, China provide resources to needy countries to cope with the virus.

She as a permanent member of United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) China always extend its full support for peace and progress.

Maryam Nawaz said that Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) is an example for global progress and development. She said that people are taking benefits from Chinese progress. China become a global leader without considering border limits.

She said that Pakistan and China enjoy friendship which is deep as sea and strengthen like mountains.

Maryam Nawaz said that Pakistan-China bond is not only based on strategic benefits but are relations between heart and soul.

She said that ties between Pakistan and China are based on mutual trust, respect and unshakeable determination.  She said that Mohammad Nawaz Sharif declared China as essential part of Pakistan’s foreign policy and he always respect and assured all out support to strengthen relations between the two brotherly countries.

She said that China is stood with Pakistan worldwide as a sincere and true friend and extend full support in all areas including economic, diplomatic and at a time of need. China become a brother for Pakistan.

Maryam Nawaz said that CPEC is not a project but light of hope for progress and prosperity for the people of both countries. She declared CPEC as a game-changer for the entire region.

She said that she is feeling proud that in Government of Punjab is introducing reforms in economic policies. She further said that Punjab become hub for Chinese investment due to these economic reforms.

Maryam Nawaz said that Chinese investment gaining momentum due to strong economic base and active manpower.

She said that in recognition of Chinese investment, Punjab government introducing special package for this purpose. She said that Punjab government is taking measures to convert the province as important place for Chinese investment.

In his address, Chinese Consul-General lauded the measures taken by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif for adopting people-friendly policies.

He also highlighted Nawaz Sharif IT City, Cancer Hospital, Air Ambulance and Apna Chat and Apna Ghar scheme. Consul-General Zhao Shiren expressed the hope that solar system will bring prosperity among common people.

He said that Punjab government is taking all measures for betterment of people of Punjab. He also shouted a slogan “Pakistan Zindabad”.

He said that this is not only the National Day of China but instead it is a National Day of both countries. He said presence of renowned personalities is an open example.

During the ceremony national anthems of both countries were played.

Chinese artists performed their traditional and cultural performance, while Chinese music and a dragon show.

At the end Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and Chinese Consul-General cut the cake to mark the 75^th National Day of china.

Prominent among those who addressed the function include Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider, Speaker National Assembly Malik Mohammad Ahmad Khan. Senior Minister Maryam Aurangzeb and Chief Secretary Punjab also attended the function.
