Pakistan invites Chinese medical firms to set up production units

ISLAMABAD – Federal Minister for Health, Mustafa Kamal, has invited Chinese pharmaceutical and medical device companies to establish production units in Pakistan. Speaking at the 2025 International Medical and Innovation Centre (IMIC) in Fangchenggang, China, on Tuesday, Kamal emphasised Pakistan’s expanding healthcare sector and its commitment to supporting international investment. During his address, he highlighted advancements in telemedicine and announced a new initiative to link citizens’ medical records with their national ID cards via NADRA, aiming to improve disease diagnosis and healthcare delivery. Kamal also expressed Pakistan’s interest in promoting traditional Chinese medicine and assured full government support for foreign investors in the health sector.
