They discussed deepening cooperation for regional stability, economic collaboration, and advancing shared goals under the “Shanghai Spirit.” The two sides emphasised enhanced coordination within the SCO—especially in trade, infrastructure, and strategic sectors—and agreed on the need for collective responses to global challenges, reflecting their shared vision for a stable and interconnected region.
MOSCOW (Dunya News) – Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar on Tuesday met Chinese Premier Li Qiang on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Heads of Government Council meeting in Moscow, where both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing bilateral strategic cooperation.
According to Foreign Office spokesperson Tahir Hussain Andrabi, the discussion focused on deepening the longstanding partnership between the two nations, highlighting shared goals of regional stability and economic collaboration.
During the meeting, both leaders underscored the importance of the Shanghai Spirit as a guiding principle for fostering peace, mutual trust, and development across the region. They expressed their determination to further strengthen cooperation within the SCO framework, particularly in areas of strategic interest, trade, infrastructure, and multilateral diplomacy.
The deputy prime minister and the Chinese premier also exchanged views on key global issues, emphasising the need for collective approaches to address evolving international challenges. The conversation reflected the shared vision of Pakistan and China for a stable, interconnected, and economically resilient region.
