CPEC 2.0 to drive innovation, industry and connectivity: Ahsan Iqbal

Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal said that Phase-II of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor will prioritize innovation, industrial growth, and people-to-people connectivity, with initiatives such as growth, innovation, and livelihood corridors. He praised Pakistani and Chinese professionals for their role in CPEC’s success, highlighted the importance of renewable energy and human resource development, and stressed stronger educational cooperation through the Knowledge Corridor. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to its strategic partnership with China, noting CPEC’s key role in overcoming energy shortages and boosting economic development, while also emphasizing the rising geopolitical importance of Gwadar and continued bilateral cooperation.
