Sindh Governor reaffirms Pakistan-China friendship during visit to Chinese consulate
Sindh Governor Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi visited the Chinese Consulate General in Karachi and met Consul General Feng Deheng to discuss Pakistan-China relations, regional peace and security, and expanding bilateral cooperation. Hashmi highlighted the importance of the enduring Pakistan-China friendship and called for dialogue and diplomacy to resolve regional disputes, while expressing Pakistan’s interest in benefiting from China’s technology and expertise. The Chinese consul general appreciated Pakistan’s role in promoting regional stability and reaffirmed China’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with Pakistan in technology, trade, development and other areas.

The Chinese consul general and other senior officials warmly received the governor. The meeting focused on Pakistan-China relations, regional security and peace, as well as avenues for expanding bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
Hashmi said the enduring Pakistan-China friendship was a timeless example of the two countries standing by each other through difficult times. He stressed that close cooperation between Pakistan and China had assumed even greater significance amid the prevailing regional situation.
Speaking about regional and global peace, the governor said war and confrontation could not resolve disputes and that dialogue and diplomacy remained the only sustainable means of achieving lasting peace. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to playing a positive and constructive role in promoting peace and stability and reducing tensions in the region.
He said Pakistan was keen to benefit from China’s advanced technology, expertise and experience across various sectors. Referring to the Makkah Agreement between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye, he said the accord reflected a shared commitment to peace, stability and collective security.
The Chinese consul general appreciated Pakistan’s role in promoting regional peace and stability, and said China remained committed to further strengthening its time-tested and all-weather friendship with Pakistan.
He expressed China’s desire to expand bilateral cooperation in technology, trade, development and other areas of mutual interest, while underscoring the importance of continued close coordination between the two countries for regional peace, stability and prosperity.
