Pakistan can become food basket of world with Chinese modern technology
A six-member high-level delegation of China-Pakistan Economic and Trade Council led by President Chen Jianlu called on President Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), Irfan Iqbal Sheikh in Lahore. Speaking to President Chen Jianlu, Irfan Iqbal Sheikh said Pakistan with its fertile land, all weathers and best canal system needs only Chinese advance technologies to become the food basket of the world. He recognised Chinese technology transfer to help Pakistan grow its industrial and agricultural sectors. Exchanging views, President Chen Jianlu said the delegation's visit would be productive for Chinese businessmen to locate new partners in Pakistan.
LAHORE: Pakistan having vast fertile land, all weathers and one of the best canal systems lacks modern technologies to which Chinese could provide to make it food basket of the world. These views were expressed by LCCI President Irfan Iqbal Sheikh, while addressing a six-member high-powered trade delegation from China at the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
China was already playing a vital role to make Pakistan prosperous, he said, adding that the transfer of technology would ensure speedy growth for Pakistan’s industrial and agriculture sectors.
China-Pakistan Economic and Trade Council President Chen Jianlu expressed the hope that relations between the businessmen of the two countries would improve further in the days to come. He was also optimistic that the visit of the delegation would help Chinese businessmen find new partners in Pakistan.
