Ambassador Nong appreciates Minister Umar’s remarks clarifying that CPEC has not created a ‘China debt’ problem for Pakistan

China’s ambassador to Pakistan Nong Rong has appreciated the remarks of Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives, Asad Umar, on CPEC. In a tweet, Ambassador Nong thanked Minister Umar for calling a press conference to debunk myths surrounding Pakistan-China relations, in light of newly launched US report critical of CPEC. Minister Umar highlighted that the report is not based on facts, as CPEC has engineered rapid growth and development across Pakistan, and not created a ‘China debt’ problem for the country.
