China is a Dear Friend, Good Neighbour And Faithful Companion, Foreign Minister Qureshi at Trilateral Dialogue

Shah Mehmood Qureshi in a press conference after the first day of trilateral meeting asserted that not only Pakistan sees China as a dear friend but also a good neighbour and a faithful companion. Qureshi also said that increasing Chinese engagement in regional connectivity, which will ultimately benefit the whole region, including Afghanistan and Pakistan. The China-Afghanistan-Pakistan’s Foreign Ministers’ level Dialogue was launched in 2017 to enhance and boost cooperation on shared interests with an emphasis on collaboration, cooperation in economic development and peace and security. First two meetings of commonly known as Trilateral Dialogue were held in Beijing and Kabul respectively and the 4th will also be held in China next year. Summit declared that the Afghan peace process offered a unique chance to three states to illustrate their shared endeavours for facilitating and reconciliation in the Afghan peace process.
