China offers to play constructive role in improving Pakistan-Afghanistan relations
China has expressed its willingness to continue playing a constructive role in improving Pakistan-Afghanistan relations. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian urged both countries to stay calm, resolve issues through dialogue, and avoid escalating tensions. He emphasized that China sincerely hopes Pakistan and Afghanistan will work together to maintain peace and stability in their countries and the wider region, adding that Beijing is deeply concerned about recent confrontations between the two sides.
BEIJING: China on Monday said it was willing to continue playing a constructive role in promoting the improvement and development of Pakistan-Afghanistan relations.
China sincerely hopes that Pakistan and Afghanistan will focus on the broader picture, remain calm and restrained, adhere to resolving mutual concerns through dialogue and consultation, avoid escalating conflicts, and jointly maintain peace and stability in both countries and the region, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said in a statement.
