China Pakistan to accelerate Afghan peace process
The Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Zhao Lijian has announced that Pakistan and China have decided to make concerted efforts to enable peace process in Afghanistan, through inclusive peace agreement and political settlement. He has also said that the two countries will work to promote high-quality development of CPEC and its associated health and digital corridors. He also said that the two countries will suppress any threat to their interests.
Pakistan and China have decided to conduct joint actions on the Afghan issue in a bid to prevent Afghanistan from descending into a full-scale civil war.
The Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Zhao Lijian in a tweet said the both countries have decided to work for a real start in Intra-Afghan negotiations that last and resolutely prevent Afghanistan from becoming a source of terrorism again.
He said China and Pakistan also agreed on continuing to jointly promote the high-quality development of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor by constructing a health corridor, industry corridor, digital corridor and green corridor so as to benefit more countries in the region.
The Chinese Spokesperson said Pakistan government is determined to defeat any attempt to sabotage Pakistan-China cooperation in diverse fields.
