China, Pakistan to tap potential in traditional Chinese medicine collaboration
China and Pakistan have strengthened their collaboration in the medical field, with a particular focus on Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) medicines. A Pakistani delegation led by Dr. Azra Fazal Pechuho, Minister for Health & Population Welfare, Sindh, visited Beijing, where they engaged in health dialogues and explored possibilities for cooperation in health and medicine. Beijing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine offered training opportunities for Pakistani medical professionals and expressed interest in exchanging ideas and research on TCM. The hospital boasts various specialized TCM departments and aims to enhance patient care by combining TCM with modern technology. Additionally, Prof. Dr. M. Iqbal Choudhry from Pakistan’s International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences was appointed a visiting professor, further fostering the collaboration between the two countries.
