China, Pakistan vow to make new contributions to global peace and development

China has restated its willingness to work with Pakistan to promote global peace, security and development. Chinese senior diplomat Wang Yi made the remark during a meeting in Beijing with Pakistani Chief of Army Staff Syed Asim Munir. Reporter Lu Sirui has more.

Chinese senior diplomat Wang Yi firstly congratulated General Munir for assuming the post of Chief of Army Staff. He stated that China does not interfere in other countries’ domestic issues, and will support Munir in performing his duties for the sake of regional stability.

As the first Army Chief to visit China after the pandemic, General Munir also said the friendship between the two countries will last.
