China to set up technical centre for youth
In a meeting between Pakistan’s Secretary of Education, Mr. Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani, and a Chinese delegation led by CIIC Technology Group Chairman Mr. Wang Dang, China announced plans to establish technical training centres in Pakistan to equip youth with skills aligned with CPEC-related employment. Secretary Wani highlighted education challenges, including those worsened by climate change, and shared the Ministry’s ongoing initiatives in infrastructure, teacher training, and student welfare. Mr. Wang reaffirmed support for Pakistan’s vision and emphasized the importance of strengthening educational cooperation.
ISLAMABAD – In a meeting between Secretary of Education Mr Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani and a Chinese delegation led by Mr Wang Dang, Chairman of CIIC Technology Group Co. Ltd, it was announced that China will establish technical training centres in Pakistan. The centres aim to train Pakistani youth, focusing on employment skills relevant to Chinese companies operating under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project. Secretary Wani highlighted Pakistan’s educational challenges, especially those intensified by climate change.
He outlined the Ministry’s ongoing efforts, including infrastructure upgrades, teacher training, improved school access, and student nutrition initiatives.
Mr Wang expressed his support for the Ministry’s vision and underscored the potential of Pakistan’s workforce.
He also stressed the significance of enhancing bilateral educational cooperation.
