China vows continued support to Pakistan in fight against terrorism
China has reiterated its commitment to supporting Pakistan in combating terrorism, emphasizing that terrorism is a global threat requiring joint efforts from the international community. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian highlighted the strength of China-Pakistan relations, describing the friendship as “iron-clad” and rooted deeply among the people. Lin assured that both countries possess the resolve and capacity to thwart any threats to their bilateral ties, while reaffirming China’s dedication to protecting its nationals and assets in Pakistan.

China said on Monday that terrorism is the enemy of all humanity and that combating this menace is a shared responsibility of the international community to prevent future tragedies.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian told his regular media briefing in Beijing that China will continue to support Pakistan in its fight against terrorism, adding that both countries had the resolve and the capacity to foil any attempts to harm the bilateral relationship.
“China and Pakistan are all-weather strategic cooperative partners. Our iron-clad friendship has taken deep roots among our peoples. [Therefore] attempts to undermine the mutual trust and cooperation between the two countries will not succeed,” Lin said.
Responding to a question, the spokesperson stated that terrorism was a common enemy of all humanity, adding: “It’s the shared responsibility of the international community to fight terrorism and prevent tragedies from happening again.”
When asked about the security of Chinese nationals in Pakistan, Spokesperson Lin said: “We are firm in our commitment to protecting the safety and security of Chinese nationals, projects and institutions overseas.”
He remarked that China and Pakistan had “the resolve and the capability to foil any attempt to harm China-Pakistan relations” and ensure that terrorists would pay the price. “We will firmly carry out cooperation with Pakistan in various fields for the benefit of the two peoples,” he added.
