Chinese Ambassador meets Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, delivers letter from President Xi Jinping

Islamabad, August 6, 2026 — Ambassador of China to Pakistan, Mr. Jiang Zaidong, called on Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif today and handed over a letter from President Xi Jinping. The letter conveyed appreciation for the Prime Minister’s message marking the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister highlighted the positive trajectory of Pakistan-China relations and reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to further strengthening the all-weather strategic partnership. He emphasized the importance of enhancing people-to-people contacts, as well as exchanges between political parties and parliaments of both countries.
