Chinese Ambassador Pledges Full Implementation of Outcomes from President Zardari’s China Visit

Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong has reaffirmed Beijing’s commitment to working closely with Pakistan to implement the important outcomes of President Asif Ali Zardari’s recent 10-day visit to China. In a detailed article, Ambassador Jiang highlighted that the visit has deepened bilateral cooperation, advanced the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) agenda, and added new momentum to people-to-people and cultural exchanges. He emphasized that the partnership between the two countries stands as a model of friendship and mutual trust, setting an example for neighboring nations and contributing to the vision of a community with a shared future for mankind.

Islamabad – Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Jiang Zaidong has expressed Beijing’s readiness to work with Pakistan to fully implement the key understandings and agreements reached during President Asif Ali Zardari’s recent visit to China.

In his article titled “Revisiting the Home Away from Home: Continuing the Epic Tale of China-Pakistan Ironclad Friendship,” Ambassador Jiang underscored that the visit added a new chapter to the legendary friendship between the two countries and has paved the way for an even closer China-Pakistan community with a shared future under the 2025–2029 action plan.

The ambassador recounted President Zardari’s visits to Chengdu, Shanghai, Urumqi, and Kashgar, where he met provincial leaders, engaged with ordinary citizens, and witnessed first-hand the rapid socio-economic transformation taking place in China. He praised President Zardari’s heartfelt remarks, calling China his “home away from home,” which reflect the deep historical bond between the two nations.

Ambassador Jiang noted that the visit was marked by key cultural and economic milestones, including participation in the Golden Panda International Cultural Forum, where President Zardari highlighted the role of art and culture in bridging civilizations. The trip also saw agreements to expand cooperation in industry, agriculture, mining, science and technology, and education, as well as renewed focus on the “Corridor of Innovation” to boost technological collaboration.

He further highlighted heartwarming cultural interactions such as the Gandhara art exhibition in China, Pakistani mangoes becoming a sensation among Chinese consumers, and the growing number of Urdu programs at Chinese universities. These developments, he said, are tangible proof of the strengthening people-to-people ties that complement CPEC’s strategic and economic dimensions.

Reflecting on the visit, the ambassador emphasized that China and Pakistan are entering a critical phase of development and rejuvenation. He said both countries are determined to fulfill their peoples’ aspirations for a better life and will continue to deepen cooperation in governance, connectivity, green development, and emerging sectors.

Ambassador Jiang concluded that President Zardari’s journey across China, from Chengdu to Kashgar, has once again reaffirmed the time-tested nature of China-Pakistan friendship and will inject fresh vitality into their all-weather strategic partnership for years to come.
