Chinese Embassy donates Rs 3.76m to PICS, University of Sargodha
The Pakistan Institute of China Studies (PICS), University of Sargodha received a donation of Rs3.76 million (120,000 Yuan) from the Chinese embassy in Islamabad for the establishment of the “Chinese Ambassador Scholarship” programme 2023. Along with boosting Chinese language and cultural activities at the university, the funds will be used to give scholarships to brilliant and promising needy students. Chinese Ambassador Nong Rong presented the grant to Dr. Fazalur Rahman, director of the Pakistan Institute of China Studies, at the embassy.
SARGODHA: Chinese embassy in Islamabad has donated Rs3.76 million (120,000 Yuan) to the Pakistan Institute of China Studies (PICS), University of Sargodha, for establishing ‘Chinese Ambassador Scholarship’ programme 2023’.
The funding will be used to award scholarships to talented as well as promising needy students beside promoting Chinese language and cultural activities at the university.
Dr Fazalur Rahman, director of the Pakistan Institute of China Studies, received the donation from Chinese Ambassador Nong Rong at the embassy.
The ambassador promised further support and appreciated the efforts undertaken by the University of Sargodha for running the China Studies Programme.
