Chinese envoy calls on Bukhari, discusses matters of mutual interest

Chinese Ambassador Nong Rong called on Special Assistant on Overseas Pakistanis Sayed Zulfikar Bukhari and discussed matters related to Pakistani students studying in China, Buddha Corridor, and manpower. Ambassador said that due to COVID, Pakistani students can continue their classes online. SAPM briefed the ambassador of the construction of the Buddha corridor being built from Northern Swat to Punjab and Balochistan and termed it as an important and sacred corridor. Moreover, he said that this corridor will be promoted at the 70 years anniversary celebration day of Pak-China Bilateral relations next year.

Chinese Ambassador Nong Rong called on Special Assistant on Overseas Pakistanis Sayed Zulfikar Abbas Bukhar in Islamabad.

The meeting focused on Pakistani students, tourism and manpower.

Talking about Pakistani Students studying in China, the ambassador said that due to the second wave of Corona Virus, his country has tightened its visa policy and students who are in the middle of their degree can continue their online classes.

The SAPM apprised the Chinese ambassador of the construction of Buddha corridor saying that corridor that is being built from Northern Swat to Punjab and Baluchistan will be an important and sacred corridor for the Chinese tourists. He said for the first time, community welfare attachés are being sent to China to further enhance the welfare of the Pakistani community in China and to increase manpower demand.

The ambassador pledged China’s full cooperation at the ministerial level on the Buddha Corridor said that the Budha trail will be promoted at the 70 years anniversary celebration day of Pak-China Bilateral relations.
