Chinese institutions sign multiple industry-education agreements with Pakistani counterparts

A Pakistani delegation led by NAVTTC Chairperson Gulmina Bilal signed cooperation agreements with ten Chinese educational institutions during a visit to Anhui Province, marking a significant step in China–Pakistan industry-education collaboration. Signed on the sidelines of the Anhui-Pakistan Forum on Industry-Education Integration on January 12, 2026, the agreements span sectors including new energy vehicles, smart manufacturing, traditional Chinese medicine, agriculture, energy, and information technology. The forum highlighted strong mutual interest in aligning vocational education with industrial needs, strengthening skills development, and advancing practical cooperation under the China-Pakistan TVET-Industry Center of Excellence (CPTICE).

HEFEI, Jan 13 (Gwadar Pro) – Ten Chinese educational institutions signed cooperation agreements with Pakistan’s National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) and the China-Pakistan TVET-Industry Center of Excellence (CPTICE) during the visit Pakistani delegation led by Gulmina Bilal, Chairperson of NAVTTC and Co-Chairperson of CPTICE, to Anhui Province.

The agreements cover multiple fields, including new energy vehicles, traditional Chinese medicine, smart manufacturing, energy and infrastructure, agriculture and animal husbandry, and information technology.

According to the official statement, the signing “marks a substantive step forward in Anhui-Pakistan industry-education collaboration, laying a solid foundation for subsequent project implementation.”

The agreements were signed on the sidelines of the Anhui-Pakistan International Exchange and Cooperation Forum on Industry-Education Integration, held on Jan 12, 2026, in Anhui Province.

The forum was jointly organized by the Anhui Education Development Foundation (AEDF), the Anhui Vocational Education International Development Alliance, and the China-Pakistan TVET-Industry Center of Excellence, and hosted by Anhui Communications Vocational & Technical College. It was held under the guidance of the Department of Education of Anhui Province and the Anhui Provincial People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries.

Representatives from 19 universities and vocational colleges across Anhui Province attended the forum. Seven institutions presented their cooperation intentions in sectors including mineral resources, traditional Chinese medicine, smart manufacturing, agriculture, information technology, new energy vehicles, and environmental protection.

The statement said that “Pakistani delegates actively responded, fostering pragmatic and in-depth discussions,” reflecting strong mutual interest in advancing practical cooperation.

The statement added that the officials noted that the forum represented a concrete step toward aligning educational resources with industrial needs, strengthening skills development and talent cultivation under the broader framework of China-Pakistan cooperation.

The CPTICE is a cooperation institution dedicated to academic-industrial integration between China and Pakistan, was officially established on December 4, 2024, following the signing of a MoU between the NAVTTC and TANG as the exclusive partners.
