CJCSC hails China as stabilizing force in region at PLA’s 98th founding anniversary
General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, attended the 98th founding day ceremony of China’s People’s Liberation Army as Chief Guest in Rawalpindi. Speaking at the event, he congratulated China’s military leadership and highlighted the PLA’s role in China’s development and global peace efforts. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to the “Iron-clad brotherhood” with China, ensuring the safety of Chinese nationals in Pakistan, and strengthening cooperation on CPEC, defence, and regional stability.
Rawalpindi: General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), attended the commemoration ceremony of the 98th founding day of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) of the People’s Republic of China as the Chief Guest.
According to ISPR, the event was marked by the presence of a distinguished gathering, including civilian and military officials, media representatives, business leaders, and members of civil society, reflecting the strong and broad-based support for Pakistan-China relations.
In his address, General Sahir Shamshad Mirza extended warm felicitations to the people of China, its military leadership, and all ranks of the PLA.
He praised the PLA’s vital role under the visionary leadership of President Xi Jinping in China’s rapid development and modernisation, crediting it with transforming China into a key pillar of global peace, stability, and prosperity.
He also underscored China’s role as a stabilising force in regional security dynamics.
The CJCSC emphasised the deep-rooted and time-tested “Iron-clad brotherhood” between Pakistan and China, reaffirming Pakistan’s firm commitment to the safety of Chinese nationals working in Pakistan.
He reiterated the country’s dedication to strengthening cooperation on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), enhancing defence ties, and promoting regional peace and development.
