COPHC provides support to Gwadar families ahead of Eid al-Adha
Ahead of Eid ul-Adha, the Chinese Embassy in Islamabad and the China Overseas Port Holding Company (COPHC) demonstrated solidarity by distributing meat from sacrificial animals to the needy in Gwadar. Over 20 goats were sacrificed, and the meat, packaged into 2 kg parcels, was given to 393 underprivileged families. This charitable act aimed to foster brotherhood and provide support during tough times. Zahid Baloch, a local fisher, expressed gratitude for the help amidst rising inflation, while Sughra Bibi highlighted the significant impact of China’s brotherly gesture.
In a show of solidarity and support ahead of the Eid ul-Adha celebrations, the Chinese Embassy in Islamabad, along with the China Overseas Port Holding Company (COPHC), distributed meat from sacrificial animals to the needy in Gwadar on Sunday.
More than 20 goats were sacrificed, and their meat was packaged into 2 kg parcels and distributed among 393 underprivileged families.
This act of generosity is part of a broader effort to foster a sense of brotherhood and extend philanthropic support to those in need.
Zahid Baloch, from a local fisher family, expressed his gratitude saying, “With inflation soaring, many in Gwadar have been unable to prepare for Eid celebrations. The meat distribution has truly won the hearts of everyone here.”
Sughra Bibi, another beneficiary, reflected on the impact of the gesture, “The brotherly act of China means a lot to us. It’s a significant help in these tough times.”
