CPEC making progress, revolutionizing Pakistan’s economy: Minister Umar
While addressing a press briefing, Federal Minister for Planning Development and Special Initiaitves Asad Umar and SAPM on CPEC, Khalid Mansoor said that the government welcomes third-party participation in CPEC. Moreover, Minister Umar also debunked myths surrounding Chinese investment in the country, and said that CPEC has not created a debt-trap for Pakistan, while referring to the recent report by US-based international development research lab, AidData, that is critical of CPEC. Minister Umar also highlighted that all CPEC projects have been completed on time, and there haven’t been any significant delays. Federal Minister Umar and SAPM Mansoor also highlighted that China is Pakistan’s most-trusted partner which has completely revolutionized the country’s economy, especially the energy and infrastructure sectors.
