Nuqta-e-Nazar
Mirza Ikhtiyar Baig (Economist):
Prime Minister Imran Khan is identifying the areas, taking initiatives and devising policies in order to ensure job creation for the masses. Firstly, Prime Minister targeted the construction industry and announced a massive package to boost the industry. Resultantly, People heavily invested in the sector and new jobs were created. Another area of focus of the Prime Minister was boosting the industrial sector in the country. All these initiatives taken by the government will result in job creations, poverty alleviation and increase in the exports. New industries will be established and the exports will be in surplus in central Asia and Europe. New avenues will be opened for the youth generation. The most vibrant area is the IT sector that has a huge potential and the Prime Minister has announced tax exemption in this sector which is a great development. The provision of jobs to the masses will reduce the poverty. For this purpose the government is making all out efforts to facilitate the SMEs. Moreover, it is the need of the hour that a family should not be dependent on single man earning and other family members should also contribute to have a quality living standard.
Brig (Retd) Harris Nawaz (Defense Analyst): The United States is well aware of the fact that Russia is a strong country and will never go into confrontation with Russian forces. It is not the force of Syria, Iraq, Libya or Afghanistan. Russia has no intention to go into conflict with NATO. Basically the United States and its allies have provoked Russia to invade Ukraine so that sanctions on Russia can be imposed. It seems that new alignments are going to be established and new blocks will be formed. Russia has warned Ukraine a number of times and also wanted a change in the Ukrainian government as well.
Perspective
Dr. A.Z. Hilali (IR Expert):
There is no doubt that Prime Minister Imran Khan is trying his best to facilitate the low-income group in the country. Keeping in view the current global economic situation where inflation is on the rise, the poor community is being taken care of by utilizing all available resources by the incumbent government. The present government has ensured the provision of loans on easy terms and conditions to the youth and entrepreneurs so that they can start their own businesses. Already 2.5 billion rupees have already been disbursed under the Kamyab Pakistan program. It is first time in the history that the government has expanded the tax network and FBR has achieved revenue of 441 billion through taxes. The government is determined to provide vocational training to the youth in order to have reputable earnings for their families.
Dr. Zahid Anwar Khan (IR Expert):
It is a fact that socio-economic development is an important component of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor project. The priority of the present government is to develop human resources in all provinces of the country, specifically in Balochistan. The people of Balochistan will be the most benefited community through the ongoing development projects under CPEC. It is a good gesture that the government is mainly focusing on the youth in the country which is around 64% of the population. The people of Balochistan will realize that the Gwadar port and other socio-economic development projects underway are purely for their benefits and the outcomes of these projects will be implemented at the gross-root level. The incumbent government is making all out efforts to eliminate the sense of deprivation of Baloch people.
