FM 98 Dosti Channel celebrates Chinese New Lunar Year
An event was organized by FM 98 Dosti Channel in Islamabad on the occasion of the New Lunar Year of China. Special Assistant to the Prime Minister, Zafaruddin Mahmood said that in recent years, organizing the New Year celebrations of the friendly country China has become a tradition which is a testimony of the strong bonds between the two countries. He also said a large number of Pakistanis are celebrating the Chinese New Year with their Chinese brothers and sisters, which is welcoming and more such events should be organized. The Special Assistant said that FM 98 Dosti Channel is providing awareness to the Pakistani people about Chinese culture and society which helps in promoting people-to-people contact. Charge d’Affaires of the Chinese Embassy Phang Chun Shoey in her remarks said the year 2022 has been a memorable year for Pakistan-China relations.
A grand event was organized by FM 98 Dosti Channel in Islamabad on the occasion of New Lunar Year of China.

Charge d’Affaires of the Chinese Embassy Phang Chun Shoey in her remarks said the year 2022 has been a memorable year for Pakistan-China relations.
Alluding to the assistance provided by China to Pakistan in the wake of floods, she said China pledged to provide additional one hundred million dollars to Pakistan at Geneva conference.
The Charge d’Affaires said the CPEC has achieved major achievements in infrastructure and the energy sector and has now set the direction of cooperation in industrial, agricultural and science and technology sectors that will bring more benefits to the people of Pakistan.
The Charge D’Affaires vowed that China will work with Pakistan to further expand bilateral cooperation and enhance people-to-people contacts in the New Year in order to further deepen this longstanding relationship and make it an example of good neighborliness and a pillar of regional peace and stability.
Felicitating China on the advent of the New Year, Senator Talha Mehmood said the longstanding relationship between Pakistan and China has grown stronger with the passage of time.
Senator Talha Mehmood was appreciative of President Xi Jinping for starting a mega project like China Pakistan Economic Corridor. He said the Chinese President at the 20th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party, also presented a clear strategy for his country’s role in the world. He said the humanity has made great progress because of the Chinese leadership’s global vision and sense of responsibility.
Director General Radio Pakistan, Tahir Hassan, while congratulating China on the New Year, said Pakistan and China have close relations not only at the government level but also at the public level. This is the reason that the Chinese New Year is celebrated with great enthusiasm in Pakistan as well.
The Director General said the longstanding cooperation between Pakistan and China in the field of media is continuing with more innovation. He said Radio Pakistan has learnt a lot from China Media Group’s Pakistan-based FM Dosti channel and is now making use of these experiences.
