Foreign Minister terms BRI as influential mean of Globalization
Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi addressing the BRI Conference said, China's Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) has become the most useful tool of globalization and international development cooperation. China-Pakistan Study Centre (CPSC) at Institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad (ISSI) is hosting a two days international conference on "Belt and Road Initiative in Changing Regional Dynamics" between November 20-21 November 2019. Foreign Minister quoted the China-Pakistan friendship and partnership as the role model for the world. Qureshi said region is seeing realignment and it needs the contribution of academia and the business sector to shape policies for the best interest of the country.
Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Wednesday said China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) has turned out to be the most effective instrument of globalisation and international development cooperation, reported Radio Pakistan.
While addressing a conference on BRI in Islamabad, the foreign minister lauded the friendship between Pakistan and China as an example for the world.
“Both countries are promoting a mutual partnership.”
Elaborating on the geopolitics of the region as a whole, the foreign minister said realignments are taking place in the region and policies regarding academic and private sectors are prepared according to the interests of the country.

Discussing the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), FM Qureshi reiterated Islamabad’s commitment to fully implement the project.
The foreign minister further criticised India and the country’s Hindutva mindset, he said Islamabad’s gesture of Kartarpur Corridor was met with New Delhi’s judgement on the Babri Masjid.
He added that Pakistan would continue to facilitate Sikh pilgrims to visit the sacred place of Baba Guru Nanak, despite India’s response.
