Government prioritizes safety of Chinese nationals, says Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi emphasized the government’s commitment to prioritizing the safety of Chinese citizens in Pakistan during a meeting with a Chinese business delegation led by Consul General Zhao Shiren in Lahore. Naqvi discussed comprehensive security measures for Chinese nationals working on projects in the country and assured them of all necessary support. He announced that from August 14, visas for Chinese citizens will be available online to facilitate easier business travel. Naqvi also welcomed suggestions from Chinese businessmen and promised swift action, while Zhao Shiren highlighted the strong ties between Pakistan and China.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has said the government attaches top priority to the protection of Chinese citizens living in Pakistan.

He expressed these views during a meeting with a representative delegation of the Chinese business community, led by Chinese Consul General Zhao Shiren in Lahore today.

During the meeting, a detailed discussion was held on measures for the protection of Chinese citizens and staff working on projects.

Interior Minister said that all-out possible facilities will be provided to Chinese citizens for business.

He said that the standard operating procedures for the security plan have been made for the protection of Chinese citizens.

The Minister said that from August 14, visas for Chinese citizens will be available online, making it much easier for Chinese businessmen to come to Pakistan.

Mohsin Naqvi noted the suggestions from Chinese businessmen and assured them for an early progress on them.

Speaking on the occasion, Chinese Consul General Zhao Shiren said that Pakistan and China have exemplary relations.
