International Group TANG signs MoU to expand women’s employment in Pakistan

TANG has signed an MoU with She Means Work to expand employment opportunities for women in Pakistan by improving access to digital education, skills training, and entrepreneurship support, particularly in rural and underserved areas. Signed by Song Jianying and Lubna Bhayat, the partnership aims to equip women with in-demand digital skills, enhance career prospects, and strengthen participation in the country’s growing digital economy.

Islamabad, February 15: In a major step toward expanding employment opportunities for women in Pakistan, TANG has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with She Means Work (SMW), a Pakistani organization dedicated to empowering women through jobs, skills development, and entrepreneurship.

In a statement issued late Friday, TANG said, “The partnership aims to expand access to quality digital education, especially in rural and underserved areas while placing special focus on women empowerment.”

“It will equip women with in-demand digital skills, improve access to employment opportunities, and support entrepreneurship,” it added.

Song Jianying, the head of TANG in Pakistan and Ms. Lubna Bhayat, founder of SMW signed the agreement.

Under the agreement, SMW will collaborate with TANG to expand access to digital learning programs nationwide.

The initiative is expected to enhance skills, support career advancement, and help individuals, especially women, participate more actively in Pakistan’s growing digital economy.

SMW is a Pakistan-based organization focused on empowering women by connecting them with employment, skills training, and entrepreneurial opportunities.

The organization has built a dedicated community aimed at assisting women, especially mothers returning to work, fresh graduates, and persons with disabilities, to overcome barriers to employment.

SMW provides a comprehensive ecosystem designed to support women’s professional growth. Through its job portal, it connects women with verified employment opportunities across Pakistan, helping them secure reliable and meaningful work.

The organization also runs several initiatives to promote economic empowerment.

Its Ventureher program supports women entrepreneurs by providing training, business development support, and access to financing opportunities, helping women scale their businesses and achieve financial independence.

The partnership with TANG is expected to further strengthen these efforts by expanding access to digital education and opening new pathways for employment and entrepreneurship for women across Pakistan.
