New Gwadar International Airport fully operational, says administration
The New Gwadar International Airport (NGIA) is fully operational, handling both domestic and international flights despite Western media’s false narratives attempting to undermine its success under CPEC. From January 20 to February 26, 2025, NGIA managed 42 flights, serving 1,537 passengers. Domestic flights operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, with 14 flights between Gwadar and Karachi carrying 1,035 passengers. Additionally, seven international flights to Muscat transported 299 passengers, while the return flights brought 203 passengers back to Gwadar.
(Web Desk) – The New Gwadar International Airport (NGIA) is fully operational and handling domestic and international flights.
According to sources, the Western media has been spreading false narratives about the NGIA’s so-called failure in a bid to discredit the success of the CPEC (China-Pakistan Economic Corridor).
The NGIA’s Flight Operations department gave an update of the flight operation from Jan 20 to Feb 26, 2025 according to which it handled 42 domestic and international flights, which carried 1,537 passengers.
The domestic flights are operated on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
According to break-up given by the Flight Operations department of the airport administration, 542 passengers travelled between Gwadar and Karachi through 14 flights. A total of 493 passengers flew back to Gwadar from Karachi via the same number of flights.
Seven international flight operated from Gwadar to Muscat carried 299 passengers. Similarly, on seven return flights from Muscat, 203 passengers landed at Gwadar, said the airport administration.
