No trace of coronavirus found in Chinese officials in Pakistan

After medical screening, the Chinese workers of CPEC linked projects in Battagram has been declared healthy and free of coronavirus. The workers has also ensured full cooperation in this regard. Moreover, officials of Thar power projects under CPEC has also directed Chinese returnees to get medical clearance certificates from respective authorities at airport before commencing work.

BATTAGRAM: All the Chinese officials working on different projects under the CPEC here in the district were found safe from coronavirus infection during screening.

Deputy commissioner Altaf Hussain told this correspondent that a total of 108 Chinese officials were working on different projects under the CPEC in Battagram. He said that they were residing in four camps in Maidan, Chanjal, Kuzabanda and Banian.

He said that the Chinese officials during a meeting assured the district administration of all cooperation. It was stated that a medical team from Islamabad visited these camps and conducted the screening tests. All the residents of camps were found to be fit and free of any type of infection.

Answering a question, Mr Hussain said that those officials who were on vacation in China would be required to produce the medical fitness certificate on arrival.
