PAF cargo plane carrying medical supplies leaves Beijing
Ambassador Nghmana Hashmi informed that another Pakistan Air Force (PAF) cargo plane carrying important medical supplies for the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) to combat COVID-19 is on way to Pakistan. Unity and cooperation are significant to fight the outbreak of a global pandemic, she added.
Two consignments of medical supplies from China arrived in Pakistan. The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) received first consignment including 10 tons of medical supplies. The second consignment, via private cargo flight, included protective clothes and chemicals.
RAWALPINDI: Two flights carrying new consignments of medical supplies arrived at Islamabad International Airport (IIA) on Thursday.
Ten tons of medical supplies, including personal protective equipment (PPE), KN-95 masks, testing kits, ice pack sample storage and gloves along with other miscellaneous items arrived via a special plane from Beijing. The consignment was received by a National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) team.
The second consignment of medical supplies arrived in Islamabad from Urumqi on Thursday through cargo flight CZ-6007. It was a private ownership cargo flight. Cargo items included protective clothes and chemicals (chlorine, garments and masks etc).
Meanwhile, PIA’s cargo flight PK-8896 departed for Chengdu China with seven crew members on board. All crew members of the flights were subjected to thermal scanning tests by medical teams at the airport.
