Pakistan and China Mark 40 Years of IAEA Membership with Nuclear Energy Achievements
Chairman of the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC), Dr. Raja Ali Raza Anwar, congratulated China on its 40th anniversary as a member of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) during an event held on the sidelines of the IAEA General Conference. Dr. Anwar praised the enduring Pakistan-China friendship and highlighted their successful collaboration in nuclear energy, with Pakistan operating six nuclear power plants, all built with Chinese cooperation. He expressed optimism for further cooperation in areas such as agriculture, health, and water management. Dr. Anwar also emphasized the active roles both countries play within the IAEA.
