Pakistan, China agree to strengthen cooperation in education, culture

During a meeting with the Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Nong Rong and Federal Minister for Education, Professional Training and National Heritage Shafqat Mahmood, a range of bilateral issues on education and skills development were discussed. The two discussed how communication on Pakistani students studying in China can also be discussed, while they also reiterated their resolve to consolidate their relationship in areas of education, skills development, and culture. Moreover, Ambassador Nong said the two countries have always stood by each other on national and international fora to support each other on a range of issues.

 

 

ISLAMABAD, Sep 15 (APP): Pakistan and China on Wednesday reiterated their resolve to further consolidate their relationships in the areas of Education, Skills development and Culture.

It was agreed in a meeting with the Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Nong Rong with Federal Minister for Education, Professional Training and National Heritage Shafqat Mahmood.

During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on a range of bilateral issues of mutual interests based on education and skills development, said a news release issued here.

Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood stated that Pak-China had an iron bond which was getting stronger every passing day.

China was the first country to provide Covid-19 pandemic vaccines to Pakistan and was also a role model for the world the way it fought against the deadly virus and defeated this unseen enemy, he added.

The worthy Ambassador of China said, since last many decades China always stood with Pakistan on national and international fora to support Pakistan on all the issues which spoke about the significance of our mutual friendship.

He further stated that one of the largest number of foreign students studying in China, was from Pakistan; likewise Pakistan was the country, receiving highest number of Chinese scholarships than any other country in the world.

The meeting of two all weather friends was marked with traditional warmth, mutual understanding and trust.

Both sides also discussed the issue of Pakistani Students studying in China and agreed to keep communication and coordination on this.

The meeting was also attended by the Secretary Federal Education Farah Hamid Khan, Executive director HEC Shaista Sohail and other higher authorities of the ministry.
