Pakistan, China bound in relationship of mutual trust: Punjab Governor
A delegation from the Chinese Jiangsu Police, led by Deputy Director General of Police Security Tan Yongsheng, met with Punjab Governor Muhammad Baligh-ur-Rehman in Lahore today. Governor Baligh-ur-Rehman emphasized the strong and trusting relationship between Pakistan and China, characterized by mutual trust, love, and unparalleled friendship. He highlighted the significance of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) in the development not only of both countries but also the entire region. The governor expressed optimism about enhanced bilateral cooperation in law enforcement, citing the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between Punjab Police and Jiangsu Province. Deputy Director General Tan Yongsheng echoed the sentiment, emphasizing the promotion of people-to-people contacts and economic cooperation alongside policing collaboration between Pakistan and China.

Baligh-ur-Rehman said China-Pakistan Economic Corridor project is related to development of not only Pakistan and China but also the entire region.
He said signing of Memorandum of Understanding between Punjab Police and Jiangsu Province will promote bilateral cooperation between law enforcement agencies of the two countries.
On his part Deputy Director General of Police Security Tan Yongsheng said apart from cooperation in the field of policing between Pakistan and China, people-to-people contacts and economic cooperation will also be promoted.
