Pakistan, China collaborate on AI education and training opportunities

Minister for IT and Telecom, Shaza Fatima Khawaja reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening its partnership with China for digital transformation and economic growth in the ICT sector. In a meeting with Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong in Islamabad, they discussed launching AI and data science training programs for Pakistani students at top Chinese institutions. The Chinese side reiterated support for Pakistan’s digital initiatives, while Shaza Fatima highlighted the need to leverage China’s expertise in digital governance for national development.

Minister for IT and Telecom, Shaza Fatima Khawaja has reiterated Pakistan’s resolve to strengthen partnership with China aimed at accelerating the country’s digital transformation and creating new economic opportunities in the ICT sector.

She stated this during her meeting with Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan, Jiang Zaidong in Islamabad today.

Discussions were held on launching training programs for Pakistani students in artificial intelligence and data sciences at leading Chinese institutions.

During the meeting, the Chinese side reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Pakistan’s digital transformation efforts.

Shaza Fatima emphasized the importance of leveraging China’s expertise in digital governance for Pakistan’s development.
