Pakistan and China have reaffirmed their commitment to regional peace, stability, and opposition to unilateral and hegemonic actions during a telephone conversation between Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi. They agreed to maintain close coordination to promote peace, security, and development. Dar rejected India’s unilateral actions and propaganda, appreciated China’s steadfast support, and emphasized Pakistan’s resolve to deepen bilateral cooperation. He also engaged with other friendly nations to brief them on the regional situation following Indian allegations after a militant attack in Indian-Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and China on Sunday reiterated their firm resolve to uphold regional peace and stability, promote mutual respect and understanding, and jointly oppose unilateralism and hegemonic policies.

Deputy Prime Minister / Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Foreign Minister of China, Wang Yi and briefed him on the current regional situation.

“They agreed to maintain close communication and coordination at all levels to advance their shared objectives of peace, security, and sustainable development in the region and beyond,” Foreign Office Spokesperson said in a press release.

The DPM/FM categorically rejected India’s unilateral and illegal actions, as well as its baseless propaganda against Pakistan.

Expressing deep appreciation for China’s consistent and unwavering support, he reaffirmed Pakistan’s strong commitment to the iron-clad Pakistan-China friendship and the shared vision of an all-weather strategic cooperative partnership.

Dar also emphasized Pakistan’s determination to further deepen bilateral cooperation across all spheres.

Earlier on Saturday, DPM Dar made a series of diplomatic calls to brotherly and friendly nations to brief them on the evolving situation in the region after India’s unilateral escalating moves and provocation.

FM Dar held separate meetings with Chinese Ambassador and British High Commissioner Jane Marriott and made telephonic calls to Turkish, Egyptian and Azerbaijan counterparts to take them into confidence on the situation arising in the backdrop of Indian allegations against Pakistan following the killing of 26 tourists in a militant attack in Pahalgam in the Indian-Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) on April 22.
