Pakistan, China sign different MoUs to enhance cooperation
Pakistan and China have signed multiple Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) to boost cooperation in various sectors, including renewable energy and industry. The MoUs, witnessed by President Asif Ali Zardari, Deputy Prime Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, and Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, include agreements between Pakistan’s Thatta Cement Company and China’s Qinggong Construction Group to increase cement production, as well as collaborations between the Sindh Energy Department and China’s Mingyang Renewable Energy Company on renewable energy projects. Additionally, an MoU was signed for a Coal Gasification and Urea production plant project in Sindh.

President Asif Ali Zardari, Deputy Prime Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, and Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah also witnessed the signing ceremony.
During the ceremony, MoU was signed between Pakistan’s Thatta Cement Company and China’s Qinggong Construction Group for installation of a production line to increase cement production by 5000 tons per day in Pakistan.
The Sindh Energy Department and China’s Mingyang Renewable Energy Company signed another MoU for cooperation on various renewable energy projects in Pakistan.
During the ceremony, Memorandum of Understanding was also signed between the Government of Sindh and a Chinese company for the Coal Gasification and establishment of Urea production plant project.
