Pakistan, China sign MoU to help invest in key projects for promotion of industrial cooperation
The National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) has partnered with China-Pakistan International Silk Road Industry Investment Management Company Limited, signing an MoU to promote industrial cooperation between China and Pakistan, facilitate investment in key projects, and support the establishment of special economic zones. Economic Minister Aslam Chaudhary highlighted incentives for foreign investment, especially from China, emphasizing Pakistan’s large market and opportunities in various sectors. The MoU aims to boost Chinese investment in Pakistan, with NBP committing to opening a branch in China to enhance bilateral trade and financial cooperation. Senior officials and representatives from various Chinese companies attended the signing ceremony, marking a new chapter in economic collaboration between the two countries.
