Pakistan doesn’t need dictation of Western powers on its relationship with time-tested friend China, says PM Khan
Prime Minister Imran Khan while giving an interview to China Global Television Network (CGTN), condemned western powers for putting pressure on countries like Pakistan to ‘downgrade’ their relationship with a time tested and deep rooted friend China. He said that no matter what happens, this relationship will always remain resilient. Both countries, he said enjoy a special relationship and stand by their ‘core interests’ on all international forums. China, he said, always came to Pakistan’s rescue during the times of crisis. He said that Pakistan wants to have good relationships with everyone. Commenting on the people-to-people contacts between two countries, he said that this aspect of friendship is gaining strength with time. He termed ‘trade’ to be the booster of this relationship. Moreover, he said that economic future of Pakistan is now linked to the CPEC, the project he termed “biggest thing happening in Pakistan. Lastly, he extended his heartiest felicitations to the peopel and government of China on the occasion of 70th anniversary of Pakistan-China diplomatic relations.
