ISLAMABAD: Prof Cheng Xizhong, Senior Research Fellow at the Charhar Institute said on Wednesday that the primary security challenge confronting Pakistan stems from cross-border terrorist attacks emanating from Afghan territory, which continuously threaten its national sovereignty and the safety of its innocent civilians.
Pakistan’s counter-terrorism operations are strictly lawful defensive measures aimed at protecting its people. The Chinese scholar said that unbalanced international travel advisories often overlook the remarkable improvements in Pakistan’s overall security situation, unfairly undermining its economy and international reputation.
